CHARLESTON, S.C. – McCall Center, the recently completed North Charleston retail center at the entrance to the new Centre Point development, is beginning to take shape with a host of local and national tenants. Quattlebaum Development Company, who owns the center, has leased spaces to four restaurants -- Panera Bread, Quiznos, China Garden and La Hacienda -- and locally-owned Capelli Bliss, A Salon & Spa.

Located in North Charleston on International Boulevard, McCall Center is the first of a series of new developments in the area to be completed, with Tanger Outlet Center in Centre Point scheduled to open late this year. Earlier this month, Alltel opened its largest store in the area at McCall Center.

At 4500 square feet, Panera Bread, which offers unique, freshly-baked bread combined with a quick, casual dining experience, will be one of the largest restaurant spaces in the center, and franchisee Rich Connolly expects to open at the end of April. As the second location in the area (the other in West Ashley), this store will showcase the latest designs and state-of-the-art equipment. Connolly expects to hire about 70 employees and is currently looking for managers. For more information or to apply, please contact Bo Gdovin at (803) 467-1327. Quiznos, owned by Dallas Huston, will be 1400 square feet and open in early March. "I was so impressed with the location of McCall Center and its proximity to so many important things that I moved from Texas just to invest in the area," says Huston. Known for its oven toasted subs, signature sauces, flavor mastery and fresh, unprocessed meats, cheeses and veggies, the McCall Center location will join seven other stores in the Charleston area. Visit www.quiznos.com for more information.

La Hacienda, which is scheduled to open at the end of March, has leased a 4200-square-foot space. Antonio Ayala and Jaime Tinoco own the restaurant, which offers high-quality Mexican food and has nine locations across the area.

China Garden has leased a 1400-square-foot space and plans to open at the end of May.

Capelli Bliss is a new upscale salon and spa owned by Raymond Broad. Services will include complete hair, nail and skin care, as well as massage therapy. Augmenting their services will be the retail product lines of Redken, Kenra, American Crew and Bioelements. The salon and spa is scheduled to open late March.
