Caterpillar Company, New Facility Coming to Jedburg Industrial Park
Williams Technologies, a Caterpillar Inc. company, will open a 200,000-square-foot parts warehouse at McQueen Park, an industrial park in Jedburg.
This is the second facility the company has leased at the location. A supplier of remanufactured automatic transmissions for Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Mazda and Allison, Williams Technologies will use the facility for warehousing of parts and finished goods. The company will completely occupy the building beginning Dec. 1.
No new employees will be hired. Instead, Caterpillar will transfer in workers from other facilities, the company said.
McQueen Park is developed and managed by Charleston-based Quattlebaum Development Co.
Quattlebaum Development is also adding to the industrial park by constructing a new spec building to accommodate future tenants. The new building will be 50,000 square feet, and the company expects to complete construction by summer 2006.
With approximately 2 million square feet in its current inventory, all within Foreign Trade Zones and in South Carolina, Quattlebaum Development’s key properties include McQueen Park in Jedburg, Cainhoy Park and McCall Center in Charleston, Tri-County Industrial Park in Summerville and Florence Industrial Park in Florence.
